Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Some people are talking about being embarrassed to pack personal items if got laid off. I don’t think it is necessary. People got laid off all the time, some time not related to performance. I was never laid off before, but I won’t feel embarrassed if I’m impacted this time. I’m in a toxic group which I wish I can leave asap. However I haven’t secured an external job yet. So I don’t want to volunteer to quit. If I am picked and have a chance to be transferred to another normal group, it would be the best. Even if I cannot get an internal job later, it still worth it if I don’t need to deal with a bunch of people that playing politics but doing very little till March/April. One fear is after reading all the posts here, I’m wondering how many groups are not toxic in intel now.
