SATG lol
Damn, I switched from DCAI to SATG recently, it is even worse.
They should fire all managers or at least be accountable for the poor decisions they make
My observation when I worked at Intel was that many managers were promoted from non-managerial positions for reasons other than because they had the right stuff to be a a manager.
It could have been because of favoritism or maybe they just wanted a bigger paycheck and/or be the boss. Intel expects people to move up in grade level and some simply choose to be a manager as a career goal to meet that expectation.
I had several managers when I worked at Intel and only had admiration and respect for one of them, the rest were just going through the motions and didn’t care about improving their people. Leadership is not about being the best. Leadership is about making everyone else better. The Peter Principle is strong at Intel.
Simple answer - Managers are responsible for hiring.
