Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Boeing Layoffs this month (November 2022)

Does anyone have an update on this? Also, how is the office move from Chicago going and when will it be completed?

No layoffs !!! That ship has sailed for 2022. Maybe in March. And stop with the VLO talk. That's just wishful thinking. It'll be ILOs or even more probable they'll just wait for you to QUIT and save paying you a severance or unemployment because they can !!!

If you really hate your job at boeing that much why not just quit and stop wasting everyone's time whinning and complaining the same old BS doom and gloom headline every couple of weeks ??? There isn't going to be any more layoffs. They are at their minimum level now and can't afford to pay severance anymore nor unemployment. Your only option is to QUIT both your job at boeing and your whinning !!!

Word is VLO’s are being sent out in BDS. I think ILO’s company wide will be next.

Doubt there will be any layoffs before next year's official bankruptcy announcement. Besides, people are fleeing the sinking ship faster than Boeing could lay them off anyhow to ensure their pensions get some protection from fed program before completely erased by the impending bankruptcy.

I don’t expect Boeing to have another major layoff until they get another design center up and running in places like India

There are no staffing reductions with the move from Chicago. Most employees are fully remote.

Sounds like layoffs would be the least of your concerns. According to Forbes, Boeing is posturing for breakup and going out of the airline business:
