There are reports of a 787 declaring an in-flight fire emergency and diversion. Airplane age and cycles are nearing the predicted failure point engineers were very concerned about and then subsequently laid-off with benefits after signing non-disclosure agreements. Should be an interesting year for accident investigation teams.

If anyone here knew anything about aviation or military, you would know that speed tape is an approve temporary solution. Clearly when people start referring to items bought from Lowes, shows they have absolutely no aviation knowledge. Either that or they just want to continue disinformation.

Boeing wants the FAA to approve a paint fix for 787 wing peeling

Now, Boeing wants the Federal Aviation Administration to approve its plan
to incorporate a layer of ultraviolet- blocking black topcoat, better known as
Flex-O-Seal, between the primer and the white topcoat.
Flex-O-Seal & Duct Tape, a winning formula for Boeing sսccess.

And Boeing is worried this makes their planes look unsafe. The FAA should be more worried about the other hidden 787 defects that actualy make them unsafe.

Yup, the former hedge fund manager just purchased $4M in Boeing stock on 4 Nov. That should tell you what his and Boeing priorities are.

For sure...few at Boeing know anything about aviation or military anymore. Just look at all the Boeing aviation and military project failures during last 10 years. Heck, even their CEO Calhoun and former Board of Director was a hedge fund manager.

Sad but true. Boeing and public welfare would be better served by Boeing closing shop. But their executives will soon be getting fed money from the new and most corrupt congress in US history. The road goes on forever and the con game never ends...

Duct tape is the best 787 component and only component made in USA.

Knowing all the 787 skeletons hidden by Boeing from the FAA, it is miraculous that there hasn't been a shitstorm of accidents.
