I've said it before and I'll say it again: it is much worse to stress while expecting layoffs every single day for weeks or even months than getting it over with. I hope they'll decide to finally show us some mercy and get it done this week, hopefully tomorrow at the latest.

I don't get it. If it happens, it happens, whether sooner or later it hardly changes anything in your life. Stop being a snowflake. Take the energy you spend whining and fretting and put it into brushing up your resume and scoping out the job market.

Yes - take the opportunity to prepare for your post-Intel life. That's the thing: if you're on the list to go, you're on the list. They've written you off. Put yourself first.
Dude this gives you the opportunity to save money and start applying. Way better than getting fired day 1. Ge-z
Yes they are so smart and strategic to let competitors poach the best key employees during this time. In case you don't get it. You are losing a capable employee and they go to a competitor that is currently cranking out quality goods. It is a 5-6x loss. Just to make their jobs easier by doing layoff by attrition.
I’m taking this quiet period as a several month head start in looking for something else just in case. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
Take deep breath, relax and have a happy thanks giving. You can also estimate the payout you will receive and if you think you are in danger zone bc of whatever reasons , update resume , prepare for interview and enter job market right away , there are still lots of companies hiring…
