Restructuring and minor lay off by end of this year and major one in March 2023. Brace for it.

Legal and HR are usually mostly safe. They usually just ask for volunteers. Most are happy to take an early exit package. Everyone that has ever left despite the reason is much happier. If you get laid off you will be too. it might take awhile to adjust but in the long run you will be glad one you find employment elsewhere.
Do you really believe they opened the Indian office just to expand? Or did they open the office to reduce headcount in US?
Guys, no layoff whatsoever. Qualcomm is doing pretty good. We just opened a new big office in India. Sit back and relax.
Which departments they target for lay offs? QCT, QTL? In general, is there a safe department at Qualcomm?
