What are the chances that the remaining closing will happen next year? We haven't heard anything for a while so I'm starting to hope that's a realistic possibility. The holiday season is coming up and I'd like to be able to relax and properly enjoy it. Is there a way to know?

Don’t assume you’re not closing just because you have not heard anything. Phone calls happening to store’s weekly. I hope you are able to keep your job but be prepared if/when you get the call.
my guess is anyone who’s closing this year already knows, the stores i know of were notified in the beginning of september to allow for a few months to wrap up and close by december/january
walk outside and look at the sign on your building. if it says "bed bath and beyond" you are closing.
