Trying to get back in

I don't believe there are many employees who realized that quitting this job was a mistake, but I do know one who tried to get back in. He did not succeed at it and in the end he still had to look for another job. - It seems that it is not easy to get rehired here, or am I wrong for basing my opinion on this case alone?

You’re never getting back in.

I know a couple of people who tried, and one who succeeded. Honestly, when you walk away from the SDOs, the pension, the bonus structure, the weeks of vacation... the greener grass turns out to be decidedly brown.

The people I do know took the voluntary exit, so there was a 2 year moratorium on re-entry, which ended in August this year.

Bonus points for job applicants that check off diversity boxes. Those questions are asked in the application process, which seems wrong.

I was laid off from Enbridge and have apllied for jobs there, jobs that I was easily qualified for and not heard anything. In one case, I was offered a position but turned it down because I was making more $$$ at my current position.
Enbridge wants the cheapest person they can find, not the most qualified.
