I'm surprised that nobody mentioned it yet.

Oops, that was intended for a different thread. Unfortunately, I can't delete it now.
The Kmart in Hato Rey (San Juan), Puerto Rico, appears to have gone straight from "open" to "closed" without passing through a "closing" phase at all.

Old news buddy. As mentioned below, this was covered long ago.
Everyone bailed from from hedge fund because it managed to make a $14B hedge fund into a $200M. That's beyond impressive. Has any hedge fund EVER performed that badly? Barings' bank fiasco is chump change. London Whale can't compare. Even the CITIC disaster from China's recent real estate collapse is nowhere close. There's probably some futures forex activity that exceeded it, but I can't think of anything that mostly invests in non-commodity equities.
A hedge funds are not meant to be a lasting investment. Eddie owns ESL which is a Hedge Fund He has sold off almost all of Sears Real Estate, and now he's liquidating each store little by little until this bankruptcy discharges. He filed for bankruptcy not to protect Sears but for him to be able to buy it and then sell it off piece by piece. Eddie is making bank, he's a vampire that is going to suck every last bit of blood from a once great company. Everyone who is saying it's a restructure is delusional.
Is it just me or is the CEO literally a failed Mr. Scrooge from a Christmas Carol? Abandoned family, no friends, the confidant and partner in crime left, the hedge fund dissolved. Successfully minimizing shareholder value for years in order to grease your own pockets with "tax losses" to offset non-existent profit. All while ruining livelihoods through lack of competence and a gargantuanlly mistaken faith in one's own aptitude. Now there's nothing to do but argue with the four people left who regularly check the board. There's no little Timmy to absolve the one who is an incarnation of an Atlas Shrugged antagonist.
Old news. It was posted a couple of weeks ago. It was originally scheduled to start closing in July 2020 but the pandemic postponed it till now
