yes, it is happening regardless of bill rate, if you were tagged as Improvement needed you were shown the door. you were judged against your peers, unknown to you

I have had a meeting and was told being laid off. Never working for this company again. Work so hard to make money for them just to let people go during tough times. It's shyt business telling you.

We had a 2 minute meeting that said some people will be notified in a couple days, then ongoing thru the end of the year. Is that normal?
It's always good to be in the first batch to go.
I think they are laying off only people who are currently not on a project. Can someone please confirm?
