If I could find a better job, I would immediately give notice and never look back on this place. Only those who cannot get anything better are still here. NCR knows this very well and exploits people's fear of losing their jobs. Is there anyone still here who doesn't wear multiple hats? Without exaggerating, I do triple workloads.

Thanks for describing what they are. I see a lot of folks talking about it here but had no idea what is was till now. Do ya'll have an end in sight for how long you have to support these network calls, or is it indefinite?
To the person with Product Architecture, network calls include Cisco, Ciena and some other companies such as AT&T, Nutanix etc.
These calls are often not during your normal shift and can occur with little notice. The past 2 months I’ve worked almost every Saturday. I am normally Mon-Fri Except for Holiday Season. These calls can be very lengthy and waiting on the NOC support Analysts to make decisions on how to resolve the issue. VERY disruptive to your work life balance I don’t know too many CEs that actually like doing these calls. I was not given a choice by my Management team.
I am from product architecture for NCR cloud services and have no idea what "network calls" are. Please elaborate?
They can take my job and car I will get new ones of both. Don’t touch my house or my women though. Please RIF me NCR I’m ready. They won’t yet as they need to train our replacements and need us for those awful network calls.
Many people still here are from India. They are here on a visa and NCR has them by the ba--s. They own big expensive homes With big mortgages and the house is full of furniture. They have cars they bought that they are still paying on. They play the game and hope they can stay long in the good old USA and they don’t care they took a job from an American, “not my fault NCR needed me in Atlanta”
As one of those blue collar CSE it took literally 6 hours from when I started looking for a new job before I got a phone from my new employer, one week after having applied for the job I was in a face to face interview, 22 hours after my interview I had a offer letter in hand, negotiations took another 2 days back and forth (got extra week of vacation and higher pay the original offer) Gave my notice 9 days after I started to look, getting better pay and a normal schedule, no nights or weekends, cheaper health insurance, management who actually cares about something called a work/like balance.
Amazing once you get away from NCR you remember what it's like to work for a company that values it's employees.
I feel sorry for those I left behind, good friendship were made there over the 20 years. Sadly however I realized talk to them recently, our friendship was bi-----g about the company, it still is but now it's not my problem.
The only engineers you find on this portal are the s.h.i.t.t.y blue collar customer engineers that NCR hires. They love coming here and moaning about how hard their life is.
My employer is actively hiring engineers in the the Atlanta area. Unlimited vacation from day one. Teleworking is OK if you prefer it.
