Pricing

Why are we taking the same stuff on and off promo every week. Kitchenaid electrics go up and down literally every week. And we have to print 40+ signs and labels ?? Just give us a single sign to put out!

Have to print a sign for every size and color of sheets set instead of a single generic. Have to print signs for items we don’t even have OH to clear them out of the scanner.

Running sales on odds and ends owned brands... it’s a mixing bowl, curtain rod, sink mat extravaganza sale!!

If we know how difficult is for us to execute pricing due to technology issues, why are we leaning in and sending out all these three day / weekend promos. Do we really need to mark this owned brand stuff back up and down? Do we want it gone or not? If we do, mark it down and leave it alone.

Every aspect of pricing is such a nightmare , from the general strategy, to execution, to technology.

Can someone please make it make sense ?????

Has it occurred to anyone in mgmt that just maybe someone would come back during the week and buy it for the price you had up on the weekend?

Probably not. These games cannot sustain the place.

What about the “secondary locations”!
We have it in 5 locations lol. More time wasted zeroing it out.
Pricing department is a hot mess. Maybe that’s why they fired the person in charge of it.

Agreed op…preach!!! How about they let us know it’s happening before the schedules are made too. They announce it the week before and you have to scramble.

I have to agree! Pricing is a mess. They overlap sales and you spend more time taking down a sign to put up the same sign the next day. There should be a way to clear items out of the scanner without having to print everything. And why do they include items that you don't carry anymore with 0 in stock? If they spread out pricing so huge setups and takedown weren't on the same day or gave us the ability to see what days we would need pricing hours while we were scheduling would be helpful.

We used to do 13K on a weekend day and considered it a failure in 2020.

Weekend Sales. Because nothing sells Tuesday-Thursday. So we do 3/4 day sales almost every week now as we prepare for liquidation.

We only did $5K this past Wednesday. We did nearly $15K on a Saturday!! They want the weekend deals to get buyers in.
