Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Working for Vista after Citrix

Quick poll: in the US alone, there are 724 jobs with Vista companies. Thinking that we’ll lose our jobs at Citrix, by our choice or TK’s, would you consider working for one of them? I might, if I’m desperate. I’d prefer to avoid any Vista company.

'Almost' glad to get the call? He-l, I'd be thrilled to get laid off. Please, take me first.

For a bit of balance. I've worked for TIBCO for over 10 years, so both pre and post Vista.

When Vista took over there was a bit of reorganization, but much less than we expected. And to be honest, most things made sense. During the Vista years it was good, the CEO really fostered a feeling of family and teamwork. It didn't work, because 1) we needed more investment in the products, 2) the people making the decisions (product) were the same blinkered individuals that routed the money we did have to their pet projects.

This is COMPLETELY different, the heart and soul have been ripped out, and everyone is waiting for the tap on the shoulder.

This is not Vista ... This is how TK has learnt how to make lots of money for himself and his new PE masters at Broadcom (I also think this comes from Elliot) ... But he won't because he's kept the same people, who've been making the bad decisions for years

At this stage i'll almost be glad if (when?) i get the call

Can we stop talking about Citrix/TIBCO as if they exist? Whatever grievances you had with those companies don't matter because they don't exist any longer, and their CEOs ars gone. You work for a new company now. No, I wouldn't work for a Vista company. Why would I? Are there no other places to work?

No way! Citrix lies to us. When Citrix hired me , I had several other higher paying options but went with Citrix because of their values and ethics. I now laugh at that decision. Citrix/ Tibco is the worse company in terms of a ethics and values. I hope to leave soon and will hide the fact that I worked here. It’s embarrassing to admit to others. Outside of working for North Korea or Russia, Citrix is a close second for lack of ethics.

Not if I can help it. PE has actually inspired me to look in other sectors, but I’m not going to go overboard. It is what it is, but if given the choice I’ll steer clear of PE altogether.
