Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

Complete transformation of Customer Success, for the good or bad?

Had a zoom meeting with 250+ people on Thursday, led by Joseph Demott primarily regarding the restructuring of customer success + more.

Elead crm has account managers that travel and performance managers that work remote. From my understanding the cadence of checking in with dealerships is every quarter for AM's and monthly for PM's.

However, AM's have 100+ dealers in the book of business and it is common for PM's to have 200+, meaning this cadence of working with dealerships is impossible to do at best.

Roadster has dealer success managers, I do not know how many they have in their book of business and their cadence but I would imagine it is as large of a mess as Elead's.

More details will come out this week but it sounds like Elead CSM's (customer success managers, a general term I will be using here on out) will be crosstrained on Roadster and vice versa.

Book of businesses will be reduced (supposedly, the cadence is out the window / being completely reworked and all CSM's will be expected to do some travel). No word was given on what will happen to the overall headcount, but I would imagine many people on the performance side with Elead will be leaving if they are required to travel.

Personally, I am interviewing. Either receive a better offer with another company and will be using that as leverage to get a pay raise instead of my measly 3% raise when inflation is nearly double digits YOY or jump ship completely.

NDA / Non Compete's are almost unenforceable, especially with the announcement today of layoffs.

@OP+1j7Hu1OV - Double check your NDA/non compete. I have heard rumors there were changes made to make it harder to jump ship.
