Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

It Is Time

Can we PLEASE get rid of this roadblocking, stonewalling, and incompetent detriment to the company? At this point it’s laughable how little accountability she is held to. She would be better served working at Aravellis’ than in charge of so many vital to the business things.

You will comply peon, kiss the ring of your fine leader, and like it.

I guess the leadership at Devon doesn’t agree that it is time…

Corporate leaders could do more to actually encourage their workers to raise their voices by consistently soliciting their input and celebrating rather than punishing them for offering it.

For workers who fear repercussions, there are skills they can learn to help them speak up more effectively and minimize the negative consequences of doing so.

None of these steps are easy. They will require more courageous action by members of each of these groups. But I believe finding ways to help workers speak their minds about issues like misconduct and performance is critically important because what happens in these instances shapes the places where people spend the majority of their waking hours – and whether they even want to be there.

Ray Z, then the next step is scrubbing it out. Then try soaking it out. If all that fails, use Wisk.

Good, you've pinpointed it, now the next step is washin' it out.

“The higher and more powerful someone is, the easier it is for them to get away with not doing what they should, often because they don’t want to do it and know that they can get away with it,” said Daphne Jones, a breakthrough career coach and author of the book Win When They Say You Won’t.

There is strength in numbers when dealing with a boss like this: “Their kryptonite is having their targets discover each other,” West said. If people can get together and show a pattern of incompetence, it’s easier to show upper management what is really going on, and how it is affecting productivity. “Widespread problems are scarier to a boss than one-off conflicts between two people,” West said.
