Sh-t hit the fan before she left. During her time there, FB censored/closed accounts of any non-mainstream media opinions, lost user base, became an arm of the government, and had its stock collapse. These problems didn't happen over night, but were the result of years of bad decisions by her and other executives. She left because she knows she's responsible for the mess FB is in. Her staying would have done nothing. Besides, she's likely still pulling strings because she's still on the board of directors.
When the stock price hits sub $50, that's when we will re-think the business model. We need to have a better user experience instead of a better revenue generating experience. Everyone is too scared to make the shift.
We avoid hiring Facebook folks for management roles like they are the plague, precisely because of their contribution to Zuckerberg's hot mess and its deadly impact on global stability. They gave up their moral compass to fulfill their greed.
