I don't work at Red Ventures anymore, I left a few years ago, but I still have a lot of friends working there. As soon as I read the news that Fandom had acquired a bunch of Red Ventures publications I assumed something like this would happen. I'm sorry for all those who lost their jobs, but you'll be okay. The job market is still good. You'll bounce back sooner than you think.

Another round 11/2 right after the budget report. My team, myself personally, are impacted. Already have meetings with teams and hiring managers at other companies. They are shifting to a different stack and putting my team on maintenance mode. I was mainly associated with AWS infrastructure and non-Spark Python, a stigma I couldn't shake despite working a fair amount of points on MDM. Anyway, insurance tech, battery tech, consultancies, defense, AI, and even web3.0 are hiring everyone who can prove they were at least as productive as the rest of their team and know their stuff. Get on it now. The recession is coming and it will impact tech. Those industries, however, will thrive [defense because of China and Russia so maybe not if you aren't a citizen]. Also, look into the GCP Professional level certificates. If you want to move beyond the backwards world RV/RVO are stuck in [still using T-SQL with entirely separate data science teams and little ML], you are going to want this certificate. It is the future. Anyone in Pittsburgh should look into Giovini. We may see each other again if they agree to let me work remote. Best of luck!
Nothing to do with Fandom and the game sites
The most recent round of layoffs were on Friday, October 7th. There were also layoffs in June and August. There may have been more but these 3 rounds I'm certain.
