Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

This company doesn't care about employees at all

It is obvious that the company does not care about the employees at all. Hard work goes unrecognized and unrewarded.
I started looking for my way out of there, although I'm not sure if the situation is much better in that regard in other companies in the industry.
It wasn't always like this here. What happened in the meantime so that the employees became so undervalued?

CommScope management hates their employees. To them, everyone not in the c-suite is just another replaceable cog in the wheel. The pain will continue (and accelerate). Take care of yourself.

Only a few have the ba--s to ask hard questions. They say those things are anonymous, but are they really? I don’t trust them.

As long as the c-suite is rewarded, they don’t care. If you leave projects will loaded on others or get shelved. Don’t think they care you.

You are right. They do not care. Chuck about said so himself in the last town hall. When someone asked what was going to be done to retain talent and reward employees who were now doing multiple jobs due to layoffs and attrition, he replied well only 200 people asked that question out of 20,000 employees, even though it was the number one asked question. They don't care. They think that Commscope is a good company to work for. Honestly it would be best to just leave. I get two to three calls from recruiters every week. This past week I started answering them. I'll be gone in a few months, making more money with better benefits while only doing one person's job.

Lot of projects have a single person doing work that used to be handled by larger group. This has become a norm and management doesn’t seem to care anymore and wants us to leave to avoid paying that severance. This is unsustainable. I am counting my days before I break down. This really feels like slavery. With lack of rewards or any future, there is no point in continuing like this.

ARRIS certainly wasn't perfect (major politics but an improvement on Motorola). At least there was work/life balance and people weren't simply cogs in the wheel. Too many work 10-12 hour days now and will still always be behind. There's no way to catch up with CS not allowing hiring. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Youve just got to look at how they have responded to the inflation problem. Dont worry about it will pass, heres 2 and a bit percent and a pat on the head. Easy words when you are pulling 7 figures year after year.

The things that made CS so family oriented went away with the Andrew acquisition and slowly eroded as BNS and then Arris acquisitions acquired. The company made many BAD decision plus (as I’ve said here before) adopted the culture that allowed those acquired to infect them. They failed to make the tough calls and eliminate the leadership of those companies. The politics got worse and it became kissa$$ backstabbing environment. It is much better on the outside. I spent many years there and being forced out was the best thing that ever happen to me. I have more time for family, less stress and pressure, appreciation from mgmt, and make much $$$ in the process. To think it isn’t much better is being blind and scared. Don’t be…
