I hope that in the end I won't have to accept a lower paid job just to get rid of the stress I experience here every day. Because. . I'm afraid that the job market will get worse!?
I'm starting to get depressed because I don't think it's ever been harder for me to find a new job. Almost all companies that interest me have a hiring freeze.

It definitely ain't good out there. I left td earlier this year to a cloud only rival and last Friday our group got marched. Cost cutting, interest rates going up and slowing growth was their excuse. Wish I had of stayed with td now.
Tech job market is tricky right now but if you were so stressed and unhappy, why didn’t you leave earlier this year before it got worse? Also, you are entitled to a medical leave of absence if you get a doctors recommendation. While your pay on leave may be less than your salary, it could be worth it to not work in that h3llhole.
It must be your skillset. AWS is looking for talent across the US.
