Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

TK quote: “If you want to advance in the company you must be in the office”

I guess TK believes that if you are not in the office then you are not a leader. I think TK wants to be Elon Musk. If you are remote then chances are high that you will either be laid off (aka fired) or they will decrease your title. All this right before bonus time.

That’s a very comprehensive study by Citrix: interesting data points about trust and empathy when it comes to hybrid working. Someone should deliver this printed to TK’s corner office.

This seems to be a good resource for anyone that’s looking for a new remote job so they can escape this place https://nocommute.substack.com

"Fully remote" employees did not sign anything about an office being opened. Jobs were posted as "remote" positions. The full descriptions were "remote" positions and there was no "should an office open" because the offices have been open for a long time now. The new ELT is mandating positions that were hired as fully remote to RTO. Th new ELT is expecting roles that were remote roles prior to covid to now come to the office. They are pushing every and anyone to come to the office knowing that most people will leave. by employees leaving voluntarily, they will not have to pay severance packages. This is all intentional. They don't have the money to pay out all severance owed to everyone they plan on firing.

They are cutting all sales and all sales engineers in both Commercial and SMB. They are going to expect partners to somehow be subject matter experts and do the selling for them. The new Chiefs clearly do not understand the industry or the necessity of varied roles within Citrix and partners. Citrix is gone - the new Chiefs are looking to dismantle and cash out which is why they are moving us to platforms like zoom and gmail - clueless by choice, cashing out.

This merger doesn't work for Vista unless there are a lot of layoffs. It's simple math, especially since the financing turned out to be less attractive because of how interest rates shot up this year.

If one person can do the job of another person, then the other person is out. If programmers are responsible for some custom app that is being discarded (because Krause wants standard cloud software across the board), those programmers are out. If they're no longer interested in getting new logos, then a lot of sales and marketing people are out.

Citrix and TIBCO as we knew them no longer exist. They are just product lines now, not companies. And the old business plans have been thrown out the window.

You are all drunk thinking there will be an offer to reloc. citrix is a vista company now being run by their playbook. Expect 1000-1250 layoffs coming. All bonuses tied to financial performance and brutal cost cuts

I don't think he meant field workers who work with customers. He said he expects those workers who were always remote to stay remote and that he wanted them to be working directly with our customers.

It came to my attention that many fully remote employees signed employment agreements with section regarding should a Citrix office reopen. Specifically that relocation would be offered to the candidate.

If this is true and you are a candidate who signed such an offer then you will likely get no offering of a layoff. You'll be offered money to reloc or let go
