That’s not true at all. I personally knew some of them and they were top performers. We all know no body cares about performance when it comes to lay offs. Performance has nothing to do with it.
All the people who were let go were dead wood and poor performers. If you aren’t a hard worker, who is making a difference you should be let go.
Getting rid of these poor performers is a good thing.
Couple of folks i know from hospitality sales were also let go.

I would get rid of tenured employees too. Got to skim that 50 year old fat.
5-6 weeks..depends on length of service. Most of the folks laid off today had one thing in common….All were tenured employees who had been with NCR for over 8 - 10 years. If this doesn’t raise a red flag for you then nothing would….
What was their severance package like?
That sucks. A lot more to come, I thought retail was the stronger brand going forward?
US based Hospitality ops folks were let go… mostly managers or senior positions.
5 from hospitality support org. All managers or Exec directors. Only going to get worse from here

Lot of people in Hospitality operations and a few in sales that I've heard about
I haven’t heard of anyone in my area. In some ways I wish I did get the call but am still here. Certain CEs will be training now on my Retail account so will see how that goes. If there are any regions in particular other than HQ please let us know if you have any info
