All operational 737s should be upgraded to safer crew alerting system or they should be prohibited from operating, period. Lives matter.
I have hated and avoided 737s even before the max accidents. Embraer 175 is my favorite airplane for short to mid range flights. Also much nicer and more quiet interior and no center seats. And of course the Embraer 175 is certified to modern and safer regulations than 737s...and so is even the COMAC 919...
Yup, endless rep corruption and payola and the fix is in.

The FAA should have never approved a grandfather certification on the max. That should have told them they would not approve it and pushed point to replace it with a new clean sheet design.
Problem is no one expected Boeing to lie about the changes they made in the cockpit to avoid a new certification.
The rep payoffs have been made and the extension will happen after mid term elections. Boeing owns the best crooks in DC.
Any decent and honest person rejects this Boeing 737Max executive wealth generation scam. Only the corrupt and greedy people who personally benefit from this scam support it.
Yeah, appeasing SW to reduce their pilot training was a slippery slope and fatal mistake for both Boeing and SW. Can you imagine the huge lost equity of now having 100% Boeing fleet with Boeing quickly circling the toilet drain. About all you can do is order more Boeing airplanes to hopefully try to fool other competitors that Boeing airplanes are OK and Boeing will be around to support them. Sure.
The decision to go with the 737 max instead of a clean sheet new aircraft design looks worse and worse every day.
That decision was based solely on trying to sell airplanes to Southwest without needing pilot training and to grandfather in a 737 certification which is more than 50 years old. The FAA should’ve stepped up then And said we’re not going to allow you to grandfather in the certification of an airplane which is a 50 year old design. They should’ve submited new certification paperwork which would’ve probably forced them into a new clean sheet design. Why submit new certification a 5p0 year old derivative.
From my Boeing regulatory affairs vantage point, it will take us about 2-3 years to get 10 certified. We don't have experienced people capable of doing this and it takes a couple years to train them. And we lose experienced people quicker than we can train them. People see the writing on the wall and take the first good opportunity to bail out of this clown circus.
Pilots have grown to hate the obsolete Boeing airplanes that have yokes and still have not evolved to the better side stick approach. Combine this with confusing obsolete 737 warnings system and it is amazing there haven't been many more accidents. Heck, even the COMAC 919 uses side sticks and modern alerting system. 737s should have been removed and banned from operating years ago.. Not sure what it will take to overcome Boeing/Congressional corruption and put public welfare first.
