I have a friend in commercial real estate in Raleigh. He believes Citrix is considering closing offices here. Does anyone know if Fl or SC is up for lease?

My bet is on a massive consolidation of offices, probably not more than a dozen globally. And with RTO, anyone not living close to any of those locations will be let go.
I know folks who interviewed candidates for sharefile team this week. So hiring is definately active and there are new reqs showing up today on linkedin.
How many of those req's are actually open? All req's had been frozen, and I have not heard that decision has ben changed. Since they are doing zero based budgeting, how can they even know what they need until that is finished?
I dont get it. Why would they be hiring 40+ devs on sharefile if the plan is to sell? Seems like it is cheaper to sell with a smaller cost base.

Ownership does not mean they need to be used by Citrix. They can still lease them out.
For Raleigh, the likely expectation is that sharefile will be sold and the rest are being downsized so no need for the size of building. And the area seems to be thriving so likely they will get a good deal. Worst case, they will move out to one of the many buildings outside of core downtown Raleigh . Remember, its all about saving $$$.
Santa Clara had long leases on the buildings. Only one of three is truly open so plenty to lease out in an area of Santa Clara that is not as active. Best would be to convert all of those to hotel/entertainment around the stadium with the right layout- open air market, restaurants etc.
If I am not mistaken the two main bldgs in FTL are owned by the Citrix BU.
