Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

The Best and Brightest Have Left Teradata For AWS and Snowflake

At least 40 of the smartest are now working for real cloud companies. This ELT has not promoted from within, and have driven away the best employees by their lack of appreciation of talent. It is so much better once you are out of this dying company. The longer Teradata is the last company on your resume, the more legacy you will look. #TDCBrainDrain

AWS scored big. They have at least 30 of the best Teradata employees now. They should pay a bonus to Teradata HR

TDC - “The Dying Company” perfect stock ticker for this mess. More layoffs coming. Still no revenue-based bonuses for the ELT. The “independent compensation committee” is anything but independent. They will collect fat bonuses up until the ship finally sinks in 2024. What does the Board of Directors do?

First - they almost never promote from within which makes younger talent question their career path. Then the egos of HA, NC, and SM make them want to be front and center and it just shows how superficial their knowledge is. It’s embarrassing to put them in front of customers and analysts. Leave now if you are smart. But AWS and SF only hire the best so be prepared if you get a chance to interview with them.

“ Good people don’t take BS from mediocre executives” - so true

The way SM and HA treated our best most valuable employees is a case study on how to drive good talent away. They did not want to be challenged or hear the competitive reality. Good for AWS and Snowflake. Good people don’t take BS from mediocre executives. #TDCBrainDrain
