I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but I was promised a promotion, which has not happened so far, and at this point I don't think it will ever happen. What is the point of promising employees promotions? Is it just another way to squeeze the maximum out of employees, who are giving their best in the hope that they will finally move up?

Oh boy.. yep this happened to me!! I was promised a promotion and raise but it never came through. As soon as they started flaking, I started looking for a new job. After a few months I found another better job. When I left DQ countered me with a 25% raise. Which was STILL less than I was making at my new job. Promising promotions just lip service from what I’ve seen.

I was offered a new job as well, all I had to do was milk a cow in the dark , at least I think it was a cow!
Get over it. It ain’t gonna happen
