Relax, this change is not about implying there are underperforming salespeople.
The reality: the new company won't need as many salespeople to work with what will become a small group of large remaining customers that choose to accept the raised prices for Citrix and TIBCO legacy products. Remember the TK track record of relaunching the CA and Symantec software BUs, and this will all make sense. Hector is merely doing what he's been told to do, under the current circumstances, reduce headcount.
Why is everyone getting so upset? NOBODY in Citrix will be working for the Cloud company before long! Vista is going to dump Citrix, sooner rather than later. Everyone will be out of a job, aside from the few people needed by whatever company is interested in the customer base. There is no future for Citrix under this new regime. None.
