Thread regarding Twitter layoffs

I'm leaving

I already have a new job lined up. I have no intention of staying and waiting to see if I will survive the coming bloodbath. I also have zero interest in seeing what this place will turn into under new management. I advise everybody to start looking right now while there are still some jobs in our sector available so that you can leave on your own terms.

Why though? Severance is usually caculated at 1 month + 2 weeks for every year worked.

So if you have been here for 6 years you would get 4 months pay. Why dump 4 months pay for principle? I know some folks who have been here 10 years. Why quit?
