Boeing’s attempt to bypass the Aircraft Safety Act of 2020 is deeply disturbing. Congress should say no to such a self-serving request.

Calhoun appealed to congress to pressure the FAA to Grant the 737 max certification but it won’t have any impact. Any goodwill Boeing had with the public and congress with the 737 max crisis. If anything they will get more scrutiny not less.
What the majority of the population wants means nothing these days given it is now firmly controlled by minority of fascists. Take the names of congressmen who vote yes for the extension and follow the money trail. The concervative supreme court set the stage for US fasicist control and corruption when they enabled these legal bribes. US democracy and freedom are headed to end days. Dictatorship governments don't give population any rights. But people get the government they deserve.
Boeing does not have a favorable reputation with the public anymore and much more difficult for them to get a waiver. Things have changed in the general public and Boeing has not adapted to the new paradigm that they are unfavorably viewed by the general public. Also the majority the public is against any more corporate welfare.
I’m sure Boeing lobbyist are throwing money around like rain at influential congressmen.
Congress is more corrupt than ever so don't expect them to do the right thing anymore than to expect Boeing leadership to do so. Many have even turned to fascism to retain their power and wealth. The US will look like Gilead in A Handmaidens Tale if they get their way. Boeing moved to DC to facilitate the payola.
