Thread regarding VMware layoffs

the company doesn't want multi-year order, nice

https://www.thequota.co/articles/as-broadcom-gets-ready-to-acquire-vmware-management-is-stalling-and-vetoing-deals-making-sales-reps-and-clients-very-unhappy

assuming sales sep doesn't do bad thing, they are trying to their best for best commission. but company doesnt want to take order because can't raise price soon.

This is exactly why the company is able to be acquired. With discounts like these VMware has been leaving money on the table for years

I’m seeing deals spiked left and right. They are not honoring traditional ELA discount levels and making us go back to ask for more money. It sucks.

Some global accounts wanted to do 8 year ELAs, that would never fly.
