Data and transparency, please. “Other companies are doing it” is neither.

better in the office without "Office 365" :-)
I'm guessing that Krause assumes that if you're still employed at Citrix, then you must be desperate to keep your job. He has no respect for the remaining employees that are holding out purely for the severence package. People repeatedly said as much on this site, over and over again. That's why he's patronizing - he's talking down to your level
“If you don’t come into the office, we can’t afford to keep the office.”
That’s the first time he was actually transparent about the RTO policy’s rationale. Why was it so hard? We could be having a discussion about whether keeping the offices make sense and are what we want, but we’re not having that conversation.
I hope he realizes that his credibility is on the line here. He can’t proclaim to be transparent and data driven and also maintain this stance on RTO. His word will be untrustworthy.

It's easy to give out edicts that you know you'll never be held to, TK is such a skeezebag.
this guys is such a piece of sh-t
Maybe if he repeats it often enough he’ll convince someone.
I held out hoping Dilbert's boss here might see the light on RTO, but now I've given up hope.
The bit about "if you want to grow and move up you have to come to office and network".. A big oof
So apparently VDI can’t support developer workloads
News to me
No laptop, no being called up out of hours for cloud on fire. Awesome.
Laptops are going away and desktops are coming back in the office. No more remote working.
“LOL. You don't have a choice. Good luck at your next job!”
Thanks. Recruiters from big companies are, literally, lining up. They want to expand into Miami and they see the opportunity to hire us.
As others have said, “I’m doing this for your own good” is insanely patronizing. As someone who currently basically works all hours to support teams in multiple time zones, I will be LESS productive if I am having to put in a commute, and end my day at 5:30 pm. A VDI company with a circa 1998 RTO policy is laughable.
that was a lot of gaslighting
“You cannot be successful remotely”
Absolutely re--rded
Just trying to get folks to quit. Dont quit. Let them pay severance.
This is horrible. I will be seeking employment elsewhere. I don’t appreciate the way he’s speaking to us. Very unprofessional.
lol he wants to listen to engineers and developers and make their lives easier? Then listen to them wen they tell you they don't want RTO!
That was incredibly patronizing and embarrassing. “I’m doing you a favor” LOL
LOL. You don't have a choice. Good luck at your next job!
And “I believe you will be better off in the office” is patronizing. We are adults. We know what’s best for us, individually.
