Thread regarding Meta / Facebook layoffs

Meta has been overhiring for years

This might be a tough pill to swallow, but this place needs layoffs. There is so much fat that at least ten percent of the workforce could be removed without it being felt. You could remove a full level of management and nobody would notice. I know this is not a popular opinion but it's the truth.

Meta hired some extremely low performers from my company. They are really overhiring.

Probably closer to 90%. They have an ad engine that makes money and a reliable infrastructure. Just keep the employees that maintain and add value to these resources. Then find a few contractors that can change the layout of the website, add new button somewhere, and the associated back end code.
