They were much smaller than we expected but we do know at least some people were affected. My biggest fear is that this will continue for weeks or even months - small cuts each day. Small enough that few people would even notice it happened but frequent enough to make it count in the end. They can continue torturing us for months if that's their plan.

What percent of the current workforce is subject to being slashed?
So I guess we have to wait until end of Nov
Layoffs started. Some directors in that odd org (tools, process, dev ops) have been given their papers.
Be prepared. The 17th is coming and that’s when most of the reduction will take place.
The PE plan is to choose small groups of people in different locations to lay off every week. Again, this is how we avoid the local news bad press of large terminations that must be reported to the government, for unemployment purposes.
Also, the small remaining HR teams can only process a limited number of terminations. Be patient, we'll get to everyone eventually and it will take several weeks to complete
It won't be months. Every department needs a budget by December 1, and that budget has to justify every headcount. It's not happening in one day as some here have tried to say, but it will happen.
