Absolutely nobody is happy about the news today. Why can’t be organise ourselves and stand up to him? I know they want some people to quit but not EVERYONE

Judging by the spelling of "organise" I assume that the original poster is not from the US. Therefore, perhaps a union would be possible in whatever country they're in. In the US, unfortunately, it's not likely to happen. We're totally screwed.
In the US, what union are you going to join? How will you organize, get your cards signed, have an election, etc?
It takes one person to get the Union ball going but it's hard to be that person.

Good luck with that.
A trade union is a great idea and an excellent way to protect Citrites from incompetent managers. Otherwise, it's one tech worker against Citrix management, HR, and the Citrix attorneys. Having a union would level the field by preventing managers from forcing employees to work weekends and evenings just to keep their jobs. The way Citrix management and HR has handled the last year is egregious. They've totally put integrity and honesty aside.
The negative comments on this thread must be from HR. I'm pro union! How about you?
If I get sick after RTO, I'll sue for negligence and endangering lives of employees and family members who cannot take vaccines for age&health reasons.
You're free to do a circle jerk about this if it makes you happy. It won't change the situation. Either you go to the office, or be fired. That is reality, like it or not. The merger has been a disaster in every way.
Come on, this is ridiculous. A CEO telling people they need to work in the office is not exactly slave labor. WFH is great, and I think TK is just doing this to get people to quit, but there is nothing to do. You can't stand up to the CEO of a private company. You work for him! It stinks, I know, but there is nothing you can do about it. There are countless tech workers out there; they can replace you in no time. The only answer is to go work for a company that is more modern and actually has a future.
@nir+1j2Sdljo realistically, I was thinking about wfh and how we have power in numbers.
Such a shame about the layoffs too.
Was this about layoffs or wfh?
Completely agree about WFH. Fk TomK!
Stop dreaming. Mergers results in layoffs. It's ugly, but it's legal. There is nothing you can do about it. There isn't going to be a union for software company employees.
