Thread regarding Dril-Quip Inc. layoffs

The problem of this management

Employees aren't leaving this company, they are leaving the managers. A lot could be said about the effects of poor management at this company. I'm interested in your opinion, what is it that makes DRQ management so bad?

Key factors
Before the grapemaster.
Management knew business. Created and Grew a world wide company from a concept. Highly competitive with knowledgeable and experienced personnel.
After the grapes of wrath - like a barrel going over Niagara Falls, management downsizing. Outsourcing work. New and inexperienced people with smart ideas that if the original owner were around they would be fired on the spot for incompetence.
But hey. The package is going to be nice.

Studies have shown 90% of employees leave their companies due to bad managers. Surprisingly 85% will stay for the package.

incompetence in all departments at the top with no chance to move up unless you suck up. Better to move on and start ovee than waste time at a company on the path to destruction.

Anyone can be a manager, but not everyone can be a leader?
