Has anyone noticed the remaining managers who survived the layoffs are incompetent clowns. They like to hear themselves talk, interrupt others, ramble endlessly, mislead upper management and are often confused. Who hired these people? Citrix HR seems too busy covering their tracks to do there job.

Hector lima and the rest of the team are there either because they couldnt find anyone else or because of nepotism but i can tell you that a lor of people in citriz doesnt see lima as a qualified leader.. i dont expect him to be there for more than 1-2 years.
This gives me hope that there are good people at Citrix!! I’m on the TIBCO side and didn’t understand any of the leadership announcements. If they’ve all been there so long, how come Citrix was in the state that it was?? My prediction…most of them will be gone in 12-18 months and in comes the Broadcom folks 🤣
For both of these people, they have coasted along under other leaders, not having to make hard decisions.
Since 2019, SM is part of the VDI mess that brought the company to this situation in the first place. Because they can only see VDI, they were blindsided by Microsoft's move to Azure and completely missed the transition to Zero Trust. Yes, there was a detour for the intelligent workspace that didn't help, but again, SM owned that too!
AV was too junior to have any positive or negative impact on NetScaler's loss of relevance in the market. He's been a good follower and pusher of what customers need. But he can only react, not create or lead.
At the end, is there anything that you can point to that either have done that has made an impact on the market?
You should ask the question, how did they worked their way through the ranks of Citrix?
Sridhar Mullapudi the man that cannot look beyond VDI. Personal responsibel for screwing up Zenprise/XenMobile.
These fearful managers know that they are vulnerable, due to limited experience or skills, and they'll do just about anything they're told to do. From the PE owners' perspective, they're preferable to others who may question the new anti-employee HR policies that will be implemented in the coming weeks. There's a reason for everything that's about to transform what was previously Citrix HR policies
While your logic is correct in some cases, it is unfair to bucket the newly appointed leaders into this category.
Sridhar Mullapudi has been with Citrix for 22 years and, like Mark Templeton, worked his way through the ranks of Citrix. He is a good man to have at the helm. I feel he will work hard to get the 'old Citrix' back. While he is an 'OG' of sorts, he is not part of the Innovex crew who long eroded the Citrix culture with their ol' bay mentality. Sridhar will be a great asset in this role.
Abhilash Verma has been with Citrix for 18 years, again working his way through the ranks to get to the top seat. He comes with a non-influenced agenda (IMO) because he was not part of the NetScaler acquisition.
Hector Lima is an excellent fit for the sales-focused role -- While he did come from the Innovex crew, [IMO], he will maintain a significant sales motion and do what is suitable for the company.
Scott Harris is another excellent fit -- Not influenced by the past and carries a lot of great experience.
In the end, layoffs suck, but it does two things:
- Cleanses the company of dead weight and bad apples.
- Forces some to take a well-needed plunge into the next opportunity pool.
Learn the term EBITDA -- That will be the driver of all decisions moving forward.
Because those are the ones who are already underpaid. Only the underpaid losers will be left after layoffs.
