Ultimately I decided not to RTO. And no one bothered me or questioned me. A few colleagues have told me that attendance in Raleigh and Fort Lauderdale was light today.
Did enough people finally say no thank you to the RTO chaos?

Most narcissistic CEOs fear transparency, but even more so they fear bad publicity...
so if enough people ignore RTO, they will simply be afraid to do anything about it for a fear of open backlash and bad press. Just start re-twitting these topics and see the backpedaling reaction.
Two years ago I was a hybrid employee, but mostly remote. Same was true for many people in my area. In fact FIVE years ago I was a hybrid employee, mostly remote... Going much further, I have been a hybrid employee ever since I was originally hired. (except for the first few months while training) THAT is why we complain.
Why are so many people against RTO? Two years ago no one was complaining about it. Just go in and get back to living life. And stop cowering in fear from the Cov
“ What are you talking about? Rumor? He already announced it! Do you not read his emails?
It's hilarious that some people think they can just ignore it and it will go away.
P.S. I'm against RTO, but I'm not delusional. You WILL be fired. Maybe that's your goal.”
Copy and paste it. Word for word. Go ahead. Post TK saying “it is required for everyone to be in the office on this date for x-x number of days per week. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
RTO is definitely optional.
I went in today. It was d-mb. Nobody there and distractions abound. I didn’t get the impression that it is going to be enforced until after the layoffs are completed. Just a feeling, but it looks like the timing of it has everything to do with the first day as a new company. The enforcement of it, and supposed “culture,” really seemed like it would be after they make the cuts.
It will by knowing who will voluntarily goes to the office.. if they dont see the expected levels, they will start to enforce it.. just a matter of time

“ You understand that this isn't civil disobedience. They are not going to just forget about it. TK is big on RTO. They'll will reiterate the policy, and then if you don't show up, you're fired for cause.”
What policy lol? Nothing but rumors and vague threats. Until I hear the words come from TK mouth, it’s a big nothing burger.
Leadership needs to get with the times… RTO is brain dead in the cloud and tech sector. We are an international company with worldwide operations and follow the sun commitments for our customers. Please, think for one minute and it will be obvious!
I’ve heard that if you don’t go, you’re giving them a reason to lay you off without severance so I hope you’re actively interviewing if you’re not going to go in.

I went but doubt I'll go back. Not sure the percent that showed up in FTL maybe 30%. Cafe was busy but probably because everyone went there instead of going out. Was unproductive without the right equipment and the layoffs looming. Wouldn't mind having a hybrid option leaning heavily remote. We need to stick with a remote first attitude and keep on comms online to properly communicate with our team members in other geos anyway. Before COVID the relationship with UK, Cali, US, and India had a LOT of tension that has been eased quite a bit as we are all now just 'remote'. At least that's my experience.
