In my store the former support team don’t follow their schedule at all. They come in at at 7 leave by 3. While they schedule could have closing schedule. While others former colleagues follow their schedule from morning or mid or late shifts. The managers are not saying anything to those colleagues. Its not fair to the rest of the store. We get a lot of call outs on weekends so they messing up the coverage of the store.

Managers are scheduling support to come in early. They are fully aware of all the big moves and receipts that are coming. They schedule their best people where and when they need them. Putting support on a register is a waste of time.
Support should be in at 7. New goods and signing should be done by Store opening. The support team carries the store without them you wouldn't be open. Not only do they put out new goods. They move the entire store around. Are you going to move well over 50 pounds of fixturing? They do this while you stand behind a register on your phones complaining about fitting rooms and customers. They're doing a job that none of the sales associates would do. You all should really take a hard look a these jobs that others are doing before you start complaining and watch how hard they work. I feel no sympathy. I've been there and done it.
Which "ism" are you talking about? Seems to me that you have a lot of "ism"s to deal with!
ISM is a bad plan, simply put. Worst idea ever! The problem is that it will continue. And it’s only going to change for the worse. The way things are going and with visual standards and BOH processes falling apart, I’m genuinely scared for the holidays. Seriously considering jumping ship when the opportunity comes and I know I’m not alone in that sentiment. Turnover is a problem company wide right now. This is all too much. No support or appreciation in the store for those that work hard and play by the rules.
I would ki-l to have my old schedule back. I had been a BOH for 18 yrs until ISM pushed me out on the floor. I work 3 nights a week now and just about every weekend. Only two us from support were given these schedules. Everyone else got a pass. They all leave at 3 or 4 no weekends. I refuse to put out merchandise . I now make up excuses not to. I will do markdowns but I do them at my own pace. I am now the person standing at the register 33yrs service only to be screwed over while others don't have their lives turned upside down. Totally UNFAIR!!
In my store the sales people before ism are still just doing the job of a sales person, they don't help with any other functions, they don't want to, they still just stand at the register on their phones while the store looks like a bo-b went off, they don't help put out new goods or do any kind of support function. There are 3 extra generalists they have help do markdowns and that still isn't any where near enough help to get it done, our numbers suck.
The couple original support colleagues that stayed are the only ones putting out new goods in the entire store, so yes if they come in earlier to get the job done cause weekends are too busy to have rolling racks and carts all over the floor in the customer's way good for them! Our original support are the only ones busting their butts in my store every day, the only ones that care about standards and follow the memos, so YES they deserve to come in earlier and get the job done!
At my store, the salespeople before ISM are still the salespeople and are scheduled to work shifts that can be opening, mid, or closing including most weekends. The support workers before ISM are still the support workers and are not scheduled to work after 6:00 pm. Some support associates work on the weekends but are not be scheduled to work after 6:00 pm on those days either.
