Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

The How Does NOT Matter

The How Does NOT Matter. As most of us know, it is just a slogan from the glass palace. Managers can violate honesty, fairness, integrity, accountability, and compliance with policies without any sort of repercussion. Even when someone turns them in on the values line nothing outside of some general counseling is usually done. They get their slap on the wrist and within a few weeks are back to behaving the same way. Even managers with multiple complaints against them continue to be employed and continue conducting themselves in an unprofessional manner. Sadly, this behavior makes good employees shut down and do the least amount possible, which in turn hurts the bottom line. Do you think anyone cares? He-l no, they are too busy at corporate trying to write feel good stories for UP Online! It makes it easy to see why so many people won't stick around.

The StraightUpTruth articles were great.

“Rumor: we were recently rated the worst company to work for and bottom last on Glassdoor.
Here’s the StraightUp truth. We’re actually great and we’re only recruiting convicted felons because we want to not because we are completely desperate.”

Comment section: “this place blows!”

Does anyone even care about those articles that do nothing but let upper management continue to back slap themselves? I totally agree with the OP on this. The management does everything they want without fear of discipline. Then these managers are scratching their heads wondering why people are getting fed up with the BS and quitting. Start holding the management accountable for issues, and watch how quickly the attitudes change.

I wish they would bring back the StraightUP articles. Watching hundreds of people slam management over the ignorance in those articles was great
