So was there truth to the posting in this forum few weeks ago about GU which was removed quickly? Was that the reason for this departure? Does it have something to do with ER's departure too? Anyway, good riddance. Lot of level 10s and up to Sr VPs are incompetent who moved up just because they were cronies to the powers. Talented people below level 10s are intentionally not promoted so the corrupt top layers continue to have a good time.

Just fyi internally GLOBALFOUNDRIES really really wants this story to fizzle out and go away. They very actively trying to contain it as well as downplay and bury it.
The person I'm referring to was in Malta for years, and recently transferred to Dresden to do some made up job. Person is actually European, so it's a paid vacation.
Old news? You are joking? It happened literally a week ago. This is what GLOBALFOUNDRIES leadership wants. For all of us to forget and be passive sheep while a lot of the bad actors from GU’s org are still hanging around and remain unpunished for their own bad actions. They may have been reshuffled into different areas, but they are still out there and largely in the same leadership levels roles. There is more to this story and a lot more should be also be fired (forced to leave).

This whole portion of the company is suspect. The entire leadership structure within it is suspect above and below. All of them have done some oddly weird things just within the past year or endorsed/supported things that were questionable.
The sickening part is how they carried themselves and portrayed themselves. Everything is fair and transparent- but clearly it was not. And most in that chain know it and grumble about it in safe spots. I think it’s almost offensive to everyone - they think we are all id--ts when we clearly see the same favorites getting a push over more deserving coworkers. Or how they push these agendas like pep rallies - but anyone with half a brain can see right through it. And most are phds! It’s down right abusive offensive. “Here eat this sh-t - and smile …. Thank us for it!” Fu-k them all they all need to go
How about the management chain above him? His very latest manager, once application engineer , all of the sudden becoming SVP at GF was working very closely with him well before GU short tenure under him granting free MPW to start ups consisting couple of guys from Finland to India left , right and center under the guise of “ building eco system”! What was the deal there?
Yes - weirdly his whole mgt chain underneath him were also broken up and scattered/reorged to different areas of company respectively a month or so prior to his abrupt departure last week. Each piece went to a different spot or org.
All of those underling mgrs also need to be thoroughly looked into as well - perhaps reorg was attempt to disperse them to dissuade any further investigations? They all have shady dealings and behaviors. (unjust favoritism, etc.). He clearly fostered a culture and environment that supported such behavior. Those Subordinate managers clearly were influenced by it and felt justified even encouraged to follow suit. All those mgt chains under him were rotten. Time to cut the rot out.
The timing with ER departure and GU is also very suspicious. Was she involved with coverup? As alluded to that past post that was taken down? All of it super questionable - best to get rid of them all and start fresh.
Strangely I work with very closely with a few from that former mgt chain and all of them are super cagey about what happened and refuse to discuss it. - look he is gone why protect the reputation of a bad actor? He can’t do anything to you anymore. He and his crimes should be put on blast. Don’t protect him - punish him for his sins. What a bunch of lies and shields - while trying to portray what is now clearly a very fake facade.
