Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

It is almost that time

18 months since the merger is here. Will there be a mass exodus since people no longer have to pay back as much of the relocation package? Or will the recession fears keep them in a toxic workplace with terribly unethical leaders?

The only happy employees posting what a great place it is to work are those who want to keep the masses from the truth in this companies case. Talk about a backstabbing, fearful culture. But I made it this far..

Let’s not forget current employees whose voices are not heard. Those pulse surveys stopped REAL quick once it was learned that things are not all sunshine and butterflies at the big D. IT took the biggest hit I heard but the love was spread across the company.

Glassdoor and layoff websites seem to be the best place to find the inside pulse on a companies corporate culture. I mean only the happiest of employees and former employees flock to them to spread the good news. It’s corporate America. No one is ever fully satisfied.

Wow, is it really that bad? I’ve seen all the job postings and considered applying for a few, but if it’s that bad, I think I’ll pass. I usually check the layoff to see what’s really going on at companies. People should be posting reviews on Glassdoor too.

Are there even any left? I heard they started picking them off the second they showed up. Ki----g or stealing projects, sabotaging, or just straight up demoting and running them off.
