Yeah, but Boeing owns the best politicians that money can buy. Maybe someday this corruption will be properly dealt with, but bs and corruption seems to only be getting more extreme. Boeing didn't move from Chicago to DC because of higher crime rate in Chicago. They moved to DC because of the more lucrative crime opportunity. Yeah, they will continue to fail with every project they win, but a select group of Boeing people will continue to do well at tax payer expense.
Boeing and Sikorsky are trying to win a major helicopter competition For the next generation helicopter. Not the kind of problem you want to have when you’re trying to convince the government to choose your helicopter instead of the competitors design which is a minor modification of an existing design already in service. The government already does not have faith in Boeing due to the tanker cost overruns among other issues
