I guess we're all a little frayed, even though I still have a job, what I don't have is a shred of faith in the company or leadership anymore.
Here's what I think will happen based on what i know.
late this year, there will be another smaller trimming. this I'm certain of, it will come as soon as teams have stabilized, and managers / directors will be asked to cut the lowest performing.
Then at the beginning of next year, q1/q2 they'll cut entire departments and outsource the work.
The problem is this. The whole covid / remote work situation over the last two years taught them they don't need (or can get) people in offices, that's why they're closing them down now. The "return to office" debacle proved that to them and they're all too happy to not be paying for the space.
But what they also figured out is that if we don't need US workers in US offices, we don't have to pay US salaries either. So they'll have teams complete the transition and get the ball rolling. Then they'll sh-tcan a whole lot of people and send the work overseas.
