The marketing team at VMware is toxic. That's it, that's the post. Feels like a sorority/fraternity. Loose IQ points everytime I speak with someone from there.
I won't be upset if they get the chopping block.

The marketing department? Feels like you may just be talking about the BDR org
vRealize is being rebranded again to VMware Aria. No joke. In the middle of BC takeover this was the bright idea the marketing team had to increase customer confusion amid changes.
By the way, "Aria" is a solo piece in music. So much for solution selling and "One VMware"
I used to work in Customer Success and we had marketing people assigned to us to help with white papers. Useless bunch. Can believe how large the internal marketing departments are.
So you all are saying, vRealize wasn't the greatest corporate branding exercise of all time? Shout out to Robin Matlock and team for that winner
I work in sales. I hate the marketing team, lmao. You're not alone in this sentiment, but dang, you don't have to wish job loss on them.
I think OP is trolling.
there's a marketing team at VMware?
I find it hilarious that you "loose" IQ points. Of the irony! Secondly.... its never a good thing to wish anyone to lose their jobs- not when in the end potentially 75% of the company- and your position- are removed as well. Not good karma...
Lots of bureaucrats work in marketing. Welcome to corporate.
