There are many long-time sufferers here who have many complaints but aren't doing much to find something better. Purely out of curiosity, what was your breaking point when you decided to definitely leave this place?

Veronica Bloodworth is blatantly incompetent. She surrounds herself with people who are yes men, and we all know you don't get the best talent with those hiring practices. This lady use to work for ATT as a SVP and was fired for mistreatment of people and blatant incompetence. She is a complete sociopath!

If anyone seriously thinks the fiber build numbers are not real they should call the internal whistle-blower line. Or contact the auditors. It's a serious acusation, so time to call it out or stop spreading misinformation. I'm calling you out on this. Take action or back down. And please don't write back with some BS about being above your pay grade. Be a grown up

Funny statement coming from the person that starts every post with hmmm. Like you know what you’re talking about and pondering how to talk to someone that doesn’t. You’ve not countered anything with anything real. Just more BS talking points. So take your own advice and stop posting. You have nothing to offer. I have first hand knowledge of seeing this shell game play out. First it was with fed money for the coolpeds being built to nowhere. Then it was fed money for a type of wireless network that doesn’t work. Now it’s fed money for building fiber to “rural” areas, Except, we aren’t going anywhere we didn’t already have fiber in the footprint. It’s all a lie. Now go pretend you know something somewhere else. Your knowledge in this realm is severely lacking.

Even odder still, since we have the second largest fiber build in the country. Hummm, strange indeed

Yeah that’s what the marketing is. However, if you really can’t call adding splitters to already existing hubs that ALREADY have fiber “adding fiber”. At least unless someone’s playing a shell game. And don’t tell me the same false rhetoric about how those aren’t being counted. Because that what just be more lies.

Odd still. Strikes me Veronica Bloodworth knows a thing or two about building fiber networks.

That’s what they say. However, you wouldn’t know that by the “work” being done. Her tree of managers seem to be some of the most incompetent.

Odd that, given most of the management now come from Veriuzon ot ATT

Well let’s be clear though. MOST of the management hired in the last 3 years are from cable companies. Cable companies know nothing of Telephony. Cable networks are completely different than Frontiers and have different rules regarding their operating procedures. I could give you a direct example of 3 of those hires but not without sharing a bit of information about their positions and why they are inept. Let’s just say that whomever hired them has no idea about what what we do. And these specific people will never grasp the knowledge they need to be successful. Likely, they will be promoted.

Now let’s talk about your Verizon and ATT hires. Indeed some of those people are being hired. However, I think it important to use a little logic when thinking about this. No one talented or even effective has been hired from Verizon or ATT. As most examples at least in the California footprint are old managers that were riffed from Verizon that were desperate to find employment. The 2 examples I’m aware of from ATT. One was riffed and the other fired. In my experience, if you’re a valuable employee especially in management in Verizon if your department is being downsized, shut down or they are simply doing a reorg. Verizon, ATT and really any company finds a place for their talented people.

In addition to the people I’ve mentioned. We’ve also, gotten management from Verizon Wireless. Which if you know anything about our infrastructure while we were Verizon and now Frontier. You would know getting someone from Verizon Wireless is like the equivalent of getting a retail sales person to be your mechanic.

For me it was when the union informed us that for that when frontier took the company over. The union neglected to have a clue and make sure Verizon sent the 700 million over from the VEBA account for our medical. Then being told by the union. Oh well, nothing we can do at this point. The unions incompetence is what led allowed the company to think there are no rules to conduct themselves. Safety out the window. Competent management out the window. Competent replacement workers (for the few openings the company has actually made). Out the window. In fact, the only thing they’ve managed to do especially in management is promote or reorganize people to positions of incompetence. 1st level supervisors that barely knew there function being promoted to engineers. Where they become completely incompetent since not knowing WHAT they are engineering. Then those first level managers being replaced by people that have either never done telephony or even managed people. This type of philosophy goes all the way to the top. It appears only incompetence is promoted as to not make the person above them look less competent. The cracks are deep and wide in this place. They spend more money on marketing their new “woke” show. Than they do training people to actually understand what they are supposed to do at every level. The fact that the union allows online training for actual physical safety tasks is stupidity.

I could go on and on and on regarding this. And no I’m not a disgruntled tech. I used to be a mid level management employee that decided to go outside to save my pension when the company told us they were doing away with the management pension.

I can say one thing for certain. 80% of the management team and execs that work for Frontier would’ve never made it past the interview process if this were still GTE or Verizon.
