Thread regarding CGG Veritas layoffs

I work as much as I am paid

Considering the amount of work I do, I am far from a fairly compensated employee. And then the manager comes in with his unrealistic expectations, trying to add even more to my plate. Does anyone take their expectations seriously anymore?
I don't believe that there are still that many naive people who would agree to be totally overwhelmed and underpaid, just out of fear of losing their jobs.

Lean your chair back, put your feet up on the desk, hands behind your head and relax.
You will soon be paid to leave and get a glowing review.
Talking from experience.

Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.

Why don't you become a union rep, you get to do less project work while your colleagues have to take on extra work to cover for you.

Nope as you don’t get anything in return for working harder.
