What a champion we have in Boeing
Took the government to task over awarding the tanker to Airbus, and Won
Saving the pride and prestige of Boeing.
For we are number one the biggest and the best.
We can do it cheaper and better they exclaimed,
We have just the thing for your needs the salesman claimed
Honest and True, it’s just right for you
Happy and Pleased they shook hands, then the plot began...
How in the hҽll are we going to build this thing?
Throw it together, we don’t care we will certify it to be the best.
The decree came down from the Boeing Board
We Build The Best
Management from decree rather than good sense

777X was terminated and be certified or enter operation. Boeing just won't officially announce this until after they enter bankruptcy.

You forgot to mention the 777x program-another failure.

Those overweight initial production Tankers have been parked for nearly 10 years (2013) yet they sit on the books as valid inventory. There has been significant money thrown at this contract that has not been disclosed along with zero chance of any recovery. Winning this contract was a curse to Boeing and a failure to our armed services.

Will this obsolete derivative tanker ever become operational and how much money will Boeing lose to make it so? Same with new Air Force One project? Same with Starliner project? 737Max and 787?
