Every marketing team not tied directly to revenue. This will likely include:
- Social Media
- Content Marketing
- Email Marketing
- Brand Marketing
- Marketing Operations
- SEO
- Field Marketing
Some of the teams that may be spared include:
- Product Marketing
- Marketing Analytics
- Paid Social (particularly those that run LinkedIn ads)
I’ve heard Brand Strategy will be hit as well as other teams on the creative side. It seems like everyone in marketing is fair game at this point.
I have no idea what I am talking about and this is purely speculation so take this with a grain of salt -
I think it was one of the posts from this board that said "any thing not tied to revenue", so if we have a "growth marketing" team they will probably be OK. If we're moving away from individual brands (i.e. universities) and creating more of a true SaaS platform, then I suspect folks on the brand side (maybe strategy?) would be likely to be let go.
