well..folks based on all that is going on or not going on in BUs makes me think we are headed for the split. WD ki---d SD. Clueless HGST leadership could not fight way out of a paper bag. I'm talking to you JK. No sales kickoff, but a political boondoggle to Bali is underway. Get your brown nosing ready to be a chosen one gor trip. God knows it is not based on performance! Look at list for last 4 years. same Ole white guy HGST posse a a bunch of NCGs. Nothing objective about who goes. all subjective based on JK mood. this place is a sad excuse for a company. Bring on the split and get these old entitled white guys out of here!

Look at the list of the names, most, if not all, are JK’s direct reports. They go there for a short vacation and definitely they are flying business and above.
JW is gone. I wonder if JK would be next since DG wants his own Cisco dogs.
If you compare year over year it is the same set of clowns going to a new international destination to conduct their 3 ring look at me circus. bow down to Jerry, avoid DG ,as he is an a-s, and pray you don't have to sit at his table, while DG wife tries to make him seem more approachable. The elitist behavior is beyond gross!
Stating its not possible to show an open criteria for Pinnacles is just BS. The only reason for this is to be able to hide why decisions are made. There are plenty of companies that have a far more open policy around this. Giving out retention bonus to execs that are not performing while less than 100% STI is an insult.
JK also needs a bit of self reflection. He has gone through serious health issues but does not outwardly appear changed by it. There is an arrogance of self knowledge and confidence that has a poor look. Terms like “I don’t lose”. Is just one example.
JK does have an open door policy this is true. Not so much an open mind though and you know that. As far as Pinnacle is concerned I think you guys underestimate how bad a look that is. There is no open criteria so people can understand the selection process and many times in the past people truly not deserving have been selected. I know much time goes into the selection process and who really wants to fly coach to Bali anyway but this incentive is divisive and you have to have your head in the sand and talk to too many of your tribe to not be aware of this.

I have to wonder if this person even works in JK’s org? Everyone who works for him knows that he has an open door policy and would be happy to chat about your concerns. As a manager within his org, I have always been asked to provide inputs on who should get to go to Pinnacle. The big problem isn’t in how the decisions are made, but that only a small % of people who actually qualify for the trip can go. There are only so many spots. I am sure you would be very surprised if you saw the amount of effort put into selecting. And the decisions around having a ww meeting, Pinnacle etc. have so many factors to take into consideration, if they were all laid out in front of you, I think your attitude would be different.
