I still cannot accept the idea that staying here would only mean prolonging the agony - that's no consolation at all.
I am going through some of the worst moments in my career. I thought that I would be able to make it to retirement and leave with fond memories of my days at Ford, but that won't happen. I am very disappointed because I tried to always work in the best interest of the company, and the way I was told that I was cut, I think it was very inhumane, I literally feel like they drove me away. Shame on the family!

You still have your dignity. This has been a total shame.went thru this in 2008/9 .Has management not learned anything from Mr Mulally years.this company had 6 out of 10 of the best selling vehicles in north America.
in the 1990s. Not Again
I left Ford May 1st when the writing was on the wall.
Loved my job and coworkers but hated the company.
If you get terminated… Don’t sign anything. See an employment lawyer first.
Team up with other coworkers that were terminated.
There’s strength in numbers!
Stay strong!
Man I will just work on my image now. Forget about the product.
I want make sure I have a job. The customer can go to he-l.
I spent the first half of my career (as did my father) within Ford; they decided we should call ourselves Visteon…… then Ford left us with the kids (Ford Blue UAW plants) as part of the divorce and spent 10 years destroying the business and treating us like dooky until all the Ford plants where closed, and all it’s salaried employees fired
Sadly; learned the family “thing” only relates to the Ford “family”
Yeah don't fall that family bs. It's strictly business relationship. You get paid for labor. They only care about price / labor. Not really about performance or talent. If you don't move up in the ladder then gotta move out asap.
The family stuff is just feel good talk. Higher ups think they can sleep better at night. They don't practice what they preach to the peasants. Hypocrites, but hey this what they want
They're not your family, fren
Felt the same when i was laid off by GM in `19. All that team/family (lower case f) talk is just BS. The idea of devoting yourself and your career to one employer is dead. You should leave for the slightest increase in compensation or lifestyle convenience. I am starting to feel that one employer on a long resume is a death sentence anyway.
