With that said alot of jobs will be absorbed by contractors. UP forcasts alot of resignations after the contract is final. The big dogs know what they're doing. They don't care about employees, as long as there is profit for the shareholders.

Hello, I am looking for 35,000 contractors to replace most all the full time employees of UPRR.
I swear the contractor thing just gets rewritten to keep the idea alive. Seriously, where are these said contractors that you talk about? This contractor issue relies heavily on a thing called insurance. Any contractor working on-site has to have proper training and insurance coverage to be able to work on or off-site for any company. Now let's throw a little logic in here for just a second. What do you think the contractors are going to charge for work performed? That company has to pay to train the employees, perform the work, pay for its own costs like insurance and medical and then that company has to bill the RR's for it so they can be paid. The contractor idea is stupid, and will NEVER work large scale. I'm sure there's going to be an increase in contractors being present, but it's time to let that idea go.
OP is an id--t.. I swear you guys can’t read/understand a damn thing
Where are all these thousands of “contractors” ? There are more boogeymen underneath beds than there are contractors able and ready to take over and perform these jobs tomorrow. So tired of hearing about these mythical contractors who will do all this work for less pay. Contractors are good for two things. Making the owner of the contract company wealthy and the manager that gets the kick back from the contractor.
Lets get this sh*tshow started. Lets see if the trainesr for this circus are confident .
